Citizens for Germany –
For a Responsible Democracy

The association Bürger für Deutschland e. V. was founded to promote and protect democratic fundamental values in Germany.

Our goal is to encourage more citizens to actively participate in political processes and to strengthen democratic institutions through transparency and participation. We pursue these priorities:

  • Strengthening citizen participation: We offer physical and virtual platforms and opportunities through which people can be actively and easily involved in political decision-making.
  • Promoting transparency: We advocate for political decisions and processes to be fundamentally understandable. We stand for a responsible, citizen-controlled democracy.
  • Protecting democratic fundamental values: Through verification and SSO services, we support other projects that strengthen our fundamental rights enshrined in the Basic Law, free elections, and the separation of powers.

In this sense, the association sees itself as a support organization for numerous initiatives.

About Us

Behind the WABEO initiative is a politically diverse and motivated team from the decentralized network of the supporting association Bürger für Deutschland e.V. Across various party political or ideological boundaries, we are united by the conviction that it is our civic duty to ensure that elections are free, fair and transparent.

Our
Demands

Our three central demands are:

1. Cash Preservation:

Protection and preservation of cash as legal tender to secure financial freedom and privacy and to counter the introduction of a purely digital central bank currency.

2. Politician Liability:

Introduction of legal regulations so that politicians can be held liable for their decisions, especially when these demonstrably cause harm to the population or the democratic order.

3. Veto Right:

Creation of a veto right against all political decisions of parliaments, in the form of a referendum, to be able to stop adopted laws and thus give the sovereign the final decision-making authority.

These demands are at the core of the movement and reflect the goal of strengthening democratic control and protecting the rights of all citizens.
